TECTONIC PROLIFERATION
A methodical enhancement and refinement of the crass characteristics of concrete where transparency, movement, and space are fundamentally crafted into 24 modules that can be orthogonally assembled to visually instigate a notion of proliferating squares and deliberate spatial complexity.
The addition of luminescence to the solid, lifeless material of concrete exhibits a sense of animation and transparency that becomes apparent through the harmonious reversal of negative and positive space in the absence of light.
The project is being featured on the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design website as of 2017.
